TransportationThe Annual Listing of Obligated Projects is a requirement from the federal government's current transportation laws and regulations document, SAFETEA-LU (Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient, Transportation Equity Act: A Legacy for Users). The federal government defines obligated projects as the federal government's legal commitment (promise) to pay or reimburse the states or other entities for the federal share of a project's eligible costs. Projects include federal highway, public transportation, pedestrian walkways, and bicycle facilities projects. Eligible projects receiving obligated federal transportation funds in one fiscal year, may not begin or even be completed within the same fiscal year and the obligated funds may not cover the total costs of the project.
SRPC will be adding projects for Fiscal Year 2009 on this page.
